Blue Zones Nicoya Stores
Costa Rica’s stunning tropical forests, spectacular beaches, and “pura vida” residents leave tourists with an unforgettable experience, and like any vacation, they look forward to packing their bags and returning home with a memory of their travels from a place where longevity and happiness have marked them forever.
On November 1, 2018, Blue Zones Nicoya opened its first store at the Guanacaste Airport, located in Liberia – Guanacaste. Dedicated to the well-being and secrets of Nicoyan longevity, under the Blue Zones Nicoya brand. The store offers a gastronomic and lifestyle experience through artisanal, creative and healthy products, it’s a modern concept of a souvenir airport store. Everything has a connection with our Costa Rican culture with a longevity approach. Many tourists visit Costa Rica due to its status as one of the original blue zones and one of the happiest countries in the world, and this is exactly what our stores want to represent.
In 2021 we opened 2 new stores at Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, and 2023 our first store outside an airport: Blue Zones Tamarindo Shop in Guanacaste.
At Blue Zones Nicoya we pride ourselves on using local products from small artists and farmers. In addition, we believe in 100% natural products free of preservatives, added sugars, colors and artificial flavors. As natural as possible always. In 2021 we opened 2 new stores at Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, and 2023 our first store outside an airport: Blue Zones Tamarindo Shop in Guanacaste.
A portion of our profits goes directly to support the Guanacaste centenarians and the Nicoya Peninsula Zona Azul Association. This way, our clients can feel good about being part of this great movement of health, longevity and charity, creating a positive impact for the blue zone of Costa Rica.
“Our new stores are a new, different and fresh offer. In them, people who leave the country can take products that have social meaning. One of our purposes is to be a showcase for small businesses in the Nicoya Peninsula to sell their products. And that with those resources they can hire more people and bring more money to their families. These productive chains developed in the province of Guanacaste will generate greater wealth and employment in an area that asks our for help”, explained Fernando Castro, CEO of Blue Zones Nicoya
